70s Vibe

All over the runways are images from the 70s– but not the tacky, disco images. We are being treated to the best of the 70s– flare jeans, platforms, lux safari– and the better news is that most of this is flattering on every figure. I will say it again–the great thing about trends is you do what’s right for you, but let’s say there are a lot of great pieces to mix and match this year!

Outfits:

One: Vintage jumpsuit, Club Monaco bustier, Jeffrey Campbell platforms

Two: MIH flare jeans, Tibi tunic, Prada clogs

Three: Custom AA Vintage Caftan www.aavintedge.com , Kelsi Dagger Platforms

Sunglasses : Raybans

Caped

There’s a reason why capes have been a mainstay for the past few seasons–they are endlessly chic and comfortable. I bought this one on ebay, it’s supposed to be a dress, but on me it’s a tunic. Pairing it with ripped jeans leads an easy vibe and together I feel all pulled together.

Jeans: Jcrew

Top: Ebay

Clutch and broach : Vintage

Shoes: Loubiton

Sunglasses: Raybans

I don’t like to play favorites in my closet; just like a mother, when asked I will tell you that I love all my clothes and shoes and bags equally. But if you press–there are some pieces that I turn to over and over again–like this denim jumpsuit. At first, I was not on board with the jumpsuit, but I cannot explain the versatility and comfort of this piece. I can dress it up or down, throw on scarves, jewelry–and the whole time feel as if I’m in pjs. It’s a win-win!

Jumpsuit: Zara
