There’s a shot of LA that’s in a ton of commercials lately– the LACMA light installation. I could not think of a better place to show you some of the most amazing shoes I own (and that’s saying a lot). The early morning light filters in slowly here–but it can still capture the shoes–even the security guards loved them.
It’s Monday–hope you have spectacular shoes to get you through the day!
Is there anything more classic than a white button down and jeans? No. It can go anywhere–be dressed up or down. And here’s the great thing? You can have fun with it! I found this amazing little pink satin turban at one of my favorite stores in LA, Recess, and knew it would be amazing with anything–even jeans.
Hope you have an amazing Monday–with a little bit of fun! xo RA
There’s something about a short dress with high boots that just makes me think of the 60’s. Years later this combination still manages to feel fresh, modern, and allows to little twists.
True Story–when I was little I refused to wear jeans. I would only wear my “princess dress” and all things that looked that ball gowns. While I still stand behind that attitude–and still love a good gown– it’s possible that I wasn’t aware that jeans could look like this; and that denim in general is one of the most amazing things ever. This is one of those effortless outfits–with effortless pieces that look amazing with anything. And can we talk about how easy they go together?!
Not all beach days have to involve swimsuits, towels and accessories. Sometimes all you need is a great dress and some sun. This rule also applies to brunch, shopping and happy hours. Wherever you find yourself this Friday I hope it is fabulous!
The past few runways have given us ample options of sheer clothing, it pops up on red carpets (Jamie King just donned a sheer dress while pregnant), and the stores are full of sheer items. While not appropriate for every situation I will admit I love it! I really like the juxtaposition of being covered and showing some skin at the same time. And here’s the great news! Sheer is up to you! Yes, the clothing may be sold or shown with little to nothing underneath, but what you wear underneath is your choice; like every trend ultimately you are in control. If you don’t want to bare all but like the sheer wear slips and shirts, etc underneath. If you are comfortable, body suits work completely–just make sure it’s appropriate, I take no responsibility for work place blunders!
There’s something about opposites that I’m just drawn to–like this lady-like polished top with distressed denim. Add amazing kitten heels and a fun clutch–and this outfit can take on Monday!
There is simply no other item in my closet that’s as versatile than this Rodebjer “Art Dress”. It buttons down the front, back and sides–meaning that you can wear it almost any way you can imagine it! My favorites include open over jeans, twisted, as a shirt dress, over shorts and as a jacket–and in every variation it’s super comfy!
All over the runways are images from the 70s– but not the tacky, disco images. We are being treated to the best of the 70s– flare jeans, platforms, lux safari– and the better news is that most of this is flattering on every figure. I will say it again–the great thing about trends is you do what’s right for you, but let’s say there are a lot of great pieces to mix and match this year!
