Gift Guide: For Him

Loves, I have opinions on gifts. Mainly, that they are best when they are personal, and thoughtful. As in, I think it’s best to ask what the people in your life want (and I think it’s best to be honest when you’re asked that same question!). BUT. I also think that we can all use a little help with gift giving at this time of year, so we gift guide. I don’t know the man in your life, but I know the men in my life would love these:

(And to be fair, so would I!)

Hope these ideas help you find the perfect gift for all the men you love!

Sunday Chronicles: Hostess Gifts

Loves! It’s another Sunday, and another Gift Guide. Within the next week, some of us will begin traveling for Thanksgiving, or maybe having a Friendsgiving, or in general, hosting or being hosted somewhere. I’m a big fan of the hostess gift. It not only lets people know that you’re appreciative of the invite, and willing to help as needed, I think it’s the one gift that can immediately acknowledge someone. And acknowledged people are happy people. (I’m 99% sure that’s science!)

Hostess gifts can also be as broad or as personal as you want them to be. You can’t go wrong with wine, or a little tea towel. You can also get the hostess something they, or their family, have been really wanting. One time a friend gave her hostess a gift card for a maid service after the holidays–tis a gift that you can be creative with!

That all being said, I’ve rounded up some things I think are perfect for hostess gifts. From things for the holiday table, to little holiday trinkets, and even some party poppers!

What do you love to give and get for hostess gifts?

Not just for hostess gifts, these things for the home are perfecting for gifting!

I hope that these ideas help you give a hostess gift they’ll love!

Gift Guide: For Her

Loves!
I hope the shopping is coming easy and that the Merry is flowing. Last week I shared my gift guide for all the men in your life. And much like men, the women in your life can be difficult to shop for (unless of course, you know EXACTLY what they want or you know they incredibly well). My solution? A Gift Guide full of ideas that I personally love (yes, I have and love some of these things)! Hopefully they inspire you-to either buy these suggestions, or to think of something that special female might ADORE.

Happy gifting!

Beauty and Skin Care
Let’s be honest. There are a lot of us out here who love trying new creams, masks, gadgets to make us look as good as we feel on the inside. Here are a few of my favorites:

Clothes and Shoes
I know, I know. It’s cliche to give a sweater for Christmas. However, sometimes you just want a really great sweater.

Fitness Lover
Not everyone is. But I know I am, and I know this is the time of year when I ask for things that I won’t buy myself. Like:

For the Home
From Weighted Blankets (on my list) to books, these are my picks for gifts that are hard to categorize!

The Young Woman in your Life
I don’t know what teens think are cool. But I really like these:

Gift Guides: For Him

I can’t be the only one who thinks that shopping for a man can be overwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, if you know him well, it can be so easy! But the guys that you’re just getting to know, aren’t close with, are doing group shopping for? That can be tricky. And no man wants just another tie and you don’t need me to suggest whiskey stones. So what to get for the men in your life?

I have some thoughts!

BAGS
Computer bags, gym bags, overnight bags. The man in your life needs a bag. I like these:

Clothes
Are you ready for my hot take in terms of gifts for him? Buying him clothes is more difficult than buying her clothes. The caveats being unless you know him super well, or you know exactly what he wants. Otherwise, buying him clothes as a gift can be a lot. Lucky you, I’ve rounded up some choices that are sure to make him smile!

Tech Gifts
Most of the men in my life LOVE a good tech gift. These are my picks:

For the Young Man in Your Life
The young man that you love deserves a special gift, too! I have no clue what’s “cool” right now, but here’s what I love:

Amazon Gifts
We all love Amazon, and that shipping! Here my picks (a little of this, a little of that) from Amazon:

Other gift ideas for the man in your life? Books, Movies, Games, Game tickets, a Nice Night out.
I’d love to know: what are you gifting the man in your life?

Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

Investment Piece, Christmas lights, Sunday Chronicles, Tradition, CA, TX, fashion blogger

We’re kicking off our gift guide with stocking stuffers, which in my experience, are either something you love or you hate .

I love them.

There’s something about something small and thoughtful that’s just full of joy. My family keeps these gifts small, think lipstick, etc, and sometimes kitchy, think glitter paper clips. But, these stocking stuffers always make me smile (and you’d be surprised how often I use them all!). Some families go a bit bigger for a stocking stuffer, and I have you covered too! Last year, I curated a small list of stocking stuffers that I just loved, see that here.

More stocking stuffers I love:

For the kids in your life:

And don’t count out things like batteries, pens, markers, and little odds and ends; all of which make great stocking stuffers in my book!

I’d love to know: what’s your take on stocking stuffers?

Gift Guides: From Target

Is there another store that can bring as much joy as Target? I think not. Those memes and jokes are around for a reason. And if it’s a store that can bring that much joy, just think how much joy that they can spread at the most joyful time of the year!

My mom and I love going to Target from the $1 aisle to searching for everything we need and all those things that we don’t, going to Target can be an adventure. In that spirit, I’ve been gift guide searching there for you. If there’s a way to get joy and get all your shopping done in one place, I’m all for it.

Without further ado, I present Gift Guide: From Target

Gift Guide For You

Investment Piece, fashion blogger, high fashion, slip, slipper, 21, CA, TX

Are you tired of hearing “Tis the Season”, yet? Tired of worrying about your to-do list, gift list, and getting everything done while remaining jolly? I hear you, it’s a tough order to do holiday for everyone you love and maintain a bit of sanity for yourself. My solution? Treat yourself! Not in the social media way, but in a tangible, you deserve a gift and love way! So, as we’ve chatted gifts for everyone in your life, let’s chat about you! I present my gift guide for you!

1. An Item You Love
If it’s something you’ve been saving for, or something you just desperately love, Tis the season to buy yourself a treat. I’m a big fan of getting yourself something big and exciting. (And, yes, that means you can save up for it! That’s exciting too!) Treat yo self is not a subject I’m afraid of, so let me state again: I love saving up for big ticket items and buying them for myself. The process itself is fun, and you get a big time you love. (While I can’t afford them yet, I’m currently saving for these.) However, this doesn’t only work for big ticket items. From a pair of jeans you’ve had to your eye on to a sweater to a new book, buy yourself something you love!

Some of my picks:

2. SkinCare
Nothing says “treat yourself” than actually treating yourself. It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of SkinPrint and I can think of no better gift for you than the gift of healthy skin. I particularly love their eye deal, moisturizer, and exfoliatiants. Shop SkinPrint here.

3. A Day Off
A gift for you doesn’t always come with a bow. Maybe your gift for you comes in the form of time off, even if it’s just a few hours to enjoy yourself. A matinee, a few hours to read a book, an actual weekend away, give yourself the treat of time spent in a way you love, in a way that fills you. What does that mean to you?

Have I mentioned that I think gifts for you are important? At this time of year, and year round, it’s important to treat yourself like a loved one, because you are loved and you deserve it!

Happy Holidays!

Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

Investment Piece: Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

Time is a ticking! I’m hoping that you’re done (or close to done) with your shopping and that it’s been painless! What may be last on your list? Stocking Stuffers! Little, but mighty, stocking stuffers are one of the first presents opened, and while they can be an item left to the last minute, stocking stuffers are some of my favorites! Here’s my gift guide for stocking stuffers!

1. I love sets of any kind, and little jewelry sets like this one are perfect for stocking stuffers! It’s the perfect balance of cute and little, and you can tailor it to your loved one’s personality.

2. Lip balm anyone? I don’t know of a single person who doesn’t need it, or love to get it! This holiday themed lip balm is perfect for a stocking stuffer, as is any lip balm you love!

3. Every year Santa and my mom find amazing little stocking stuffers that you didn’t know you needed till you got them! Take these decorated wood clips! (Found in the Dollar Section of Target) I’ve gotten a stocking stuffer like this before, and I use my clips to keep my desk organized! They are thoughtful and I would have never bought them for myself!

4. Who doesn’t love candy? From these Champagne Gummy Bears to candy canes, to candy canes filled with candy to chocolate, any of these would make a great stocking stuffer!

Other ideas: gift cards (my thoughts here), tiny toys, electronic accessories, and batteries.
Need more stocking stuffer ideas? From nail polish to carry on cocktails, I have you covered here:

If you’re worried about gifts and not stocking stuffers check out my other gift guides: Hostess, Beauty, experiences, Kids, Fitness Lovers, Art/Music/Fashion, and Travel Lovers.
I also rounded up some thoughts on last minute gift giving here.

So from stocking stuffers to big gifts, I hope your shopping is going amazing and you’re staying in the holiday spirit!

Holiday Traditions

Investment Piece: Holiday Traditions

Tis the season. For gifts, treats, magic, parties, and holiday traditions. As we get older the holidays can change, yet what keeps us coming back are the traditions. For me? It’s my mom’s beef stroganoff on Christmas Eve, setting out cookies for Santa, waiting for my sister to wake up so we can open presents, and my overwhelming desire for a white Christmas. I love the movies, Miracle on 34th Street, White Christmas, and Elf top my lists. The holiday music only stations never fail to get me in the spirit. Seeing the pics of my friend’s kids with Santa makes my day, and getting Crhistmas cards in the mail always bring me cheer! There are so many holiday traditions, and every family has their own. Traditions keep the past alive and bring us into the future; and there’s no better time for traditions than the holiday season. Continue reading Holiday Traditions
